Ritz-Carlton Residences
Al Wadi Desert
Ritz-Carlton Residences Al Wadi Desert comprises 35 private villas set within a protected desert nature reserve — a rare branded residence concept built around seclusion rather than skyline.
The Setting
Al Wadi Desert sits inland from Ras Al Khaimah’s coastline, within a private nature reserve of desert dunes and indigenous flora. It is one of the few branded residence addresses in the Gulf built around isolation and landscape rather than density — closer in spirit to a private desert retreat than a resort tower.
The location places residents within the Ritz-Carlton’s existing resort operations, with access to its spa, dining, and service standards, while each villa retains its own private plot and pool.
Al Wadi Nature Reserve
Ritz-Carlton Residences Al Wadi Desert sits within the 1,235-acre Al Wadi Nature Reserve, cradled by the Hajar Mountains and set roughly 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 20 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah city. The architecture draws on traditional Bedouin dwellings — clean lines, organic textures, and panoramic desert views — reworked with contemporary materials and finishes.
Villas are arranged around a residents’ clubhouse offering a spa, fitness studio, restaurant, and buggy paths connecting the estate. Each plot carries its own temperature-controlled pool and shaded outdoor lounge, positioned for privacy rather than density — a different proposition from the tower-block branded residences more typical of the Gulf.
The Developer
The project is developed by RAK Ventures LLC, under license from Ritz-Carlton, with Al Hamra as the master developer of the surrounding Al Wadi Desert destination. Al Hamra has shaped Ras Al Khaimah’s residential and hospitality landscape since 2003, with a portfolio spanning Al Hamra Village, Al Hamra Golf Club, the Royal Yacht Club of Ras Al Khaimah, and Manar Mall, alongside hospitality assets including The Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach, Sofitel Al Hamra Beach, and Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah.
Ras Al Khaimah itself is backed by a government-led Vision 2030 strategy aimed at establishing the emirate as a premier destination for investment, tourism, and residential living — a tailwind for branded residence demand across the destination, not only at this single asset.
The Villas
Pricing runs from approximately AED 19.5M to AED 38M depending on villa size and configuration, across 3, 4, and 5-bedroom layouts. Each residence is positioned within the reserve for privacy, with direct desert views rather than a shared skyline.
